The teachings of Rudolf Steiner have the ability to transform the way people think, feel, and the way they act. Anthroposophical Prison Outreach makes this wisdom available to a population that would not otherwise have access... men and women who are serving time in prison! Our lending library, meditation instruction, correspondence course and twice yearly newsletters support students in their self-development. The courage and determination of our students is inspiring! Plus, as you know, when one person changes, it radiates to those around them.

Where will this Walk-a-thon be held? It's everywhere! This is a nationwide event with no set course or distance. Walkers, runners, and cyclists can participate wherever they happen to be throughout the weekend. Each volunteer gathers in sponsors and in this way a broad group of individuals sustains APO.

Our goal this year is to raise $35,000. This will help support 1,400 students across the US - individuals who are serving time in prison and have taken up a path of inner development through the work of the APO. Thank you for your support, it makes a real difference!

Kathy Reardon is Walking for APO

Dear Friends,

I have had a year since the last APO Walkathon of traveling to beautiful places, of being with people I love, of doing work I find meaningful, of being in good  health, and having people to study with. For each of these things I am very grateful.  Participating in this Walkathon is a small way for me to give thanks.

However, many others do not have these freedoms. People incarcerated have many obstacles to overcome every day. I believe that those who are able to make use of the time in prison to work on their own development will be a great benefit to themselves and our world. I want to support them and invite you to join me.

This year I will again try to walk 25 miles in the Eugene, OR area.

Please consider sponsoring me, another walker, or the Anthroposophical Prison Outreach directly. They do really good work!!!

In Peace and Love,

Kathy
