Meditation and spiritual studies have made a huge difference in my life, so twenty years ago I helped start a program within the Anthroposophical Society that provides written instruction in meditation and self-improvement exercises as well as a lending library and newsletter for people who are in prision. Thousands of people have found change and a renewed sense of purpose through Anthroposophical Prison Outreach. If you'd like to receive a copy of our newsletter let me know! Where will this walk-a-thon be held? It's everywhere! This is a nationwide event with no set course, so walkers and cyclists can participate wherever they want, with whomever they want.

This year we intend to raise $25,000 in support of the work of the APO and the hundreds of prisoners around the country whose lives it touches, with inspiration, encouragement, and support on their inner spiritual journey. APO brings the opportunity for self-rehabilitation and hope to incarcerated individuals. We encourage inmates to take responsibility for their lives through teaching exercises, meditative techniques, self-help books of a spiritual nature, mentorship, and correspondence courses.
