I support APO because it enriches the lives of prisoners who would not otherwise have access to meditation instruction and self-development studies.  In How To Know Higher Worlds, Rudolf Steiner talks about an attitude of mind wherein one feels oneself as a link in the whole of life, and thus co-responsible for the plights of our fellow human beings. He tells us that, in regarding a criminal, we should suspend our judgements and say to ourselves:

“Through favorable circumstances I received an education which perhaps alone saved me from a similar fate… I may then come to the conclusion that this human brother (or sister) of mine would have become a different (person) had my teachers taken the same pains with him (or her) that they took with me. I shall reflect on the fact that something was given to me that was denied him (or her). I then shall naturally come to think of myself as a link in the whole of humanity and a sharer in the responsibility for everything that occurs.”

Please donate what you are able. I really appreciate your support!

ABOUT APO Walkathon 2018

Where will this walk-a-thon be held? It's everywhere! This is a nationwide event with no set course, so walkers and cyclists can participate wherever they want, with whomever they want.

Thanks for helping the Anthroposophical Prison Outreach programs to continue its important work in serving prisoners around the country.

This year we intend to raise $25,000 in support of the work of the APO and the hundreds of prisoners around the country whose lives it touches, with inspiration, encouragement, and support on their inner spiritual journey. Follow this link to learn more about this campaign. Your support makes a difference!

APO brings the opportunity for self-rehabilitation and hope to incarcerated individuals. We encourage inmates to take responsibility for their lives through teaching exercises, meditative techniques, self-help books of a spiritual nature, mentorship, and correspondence courses.

Thank you for your support!
