APO’s eighth annual walk-a-thon, Walk a Mile in My Shoes, is coming soon and we invite you to join in! Our goal this year is $30,000, bringing the light of anthroposophical studies to people in prison.

Unlike most walk-a-thons that take place in one location, this is a nationwide event with no set course. As a walker or cyclist you can choose your distance and whether you want to complete it all at once or do a little each day over the weekend.

Walk a Mile in My Shoes will be held throughout the weekend of September 19 - 21, 2020. Participants ask their co-workers, family and friends to sponsor them. People give because they want to support YOU! All you have to do is ask ...   "Would you be willing to sponsor me for a walk-a-thon I am doing?"

We make it easy, with a web link you can email to friends and family or post on social media as well as a sign-up sheet you can hand to potential supporters. We are ready to help you set up your online walk-a-thon page if you need it.

Here are some ways to volunteer as a walker or cyclist, and get supportive materials to use when you ask your friends, co-workers, relatives and places you do business with to sponsor you.

We'll send you a packet with everything you need to get started, including some APO brochures, and we are happy to coach you through the process. If you're unable to participate as a walker or cyclist, please consider either supporting someone who can, or follow this link to make a tax-deductible gift to the program.

We are celebrating our 21st year of APO. Help us reach or exceed this year’s goal!
