As with everything, 2020 has been a busy and unusual year for Anthroposophical Prison Outreach, a beautiful program designed to bring the study of spiritual science to incarcerated individuals by providing them with books, materials, and mentors. This year has brought a huge increase for new inmate requests and needed support for prisoners that engage with the program, individuals who are striving to find deeper meaning in their lives. As evidenced by their correpsondence and artistic expression, many are making life changes through the self-development practices, spiritual study, and meditative exercises which Rudolf Steiner gave for all of humanity. 

I'm joining in the Walk-A-Mile in my Shoes Fundraising Walkathon again this year, the weekend of September 19-21, with the goal of raising $500 to support the program. I'll spend the weekend walking the forests near my home in Northern Michigan, in dedicated contemplation of those who don't have this opportunity and yet who seek to know themselves more fully.  You can participate with me by making a donation through this link, and together we can find our way to freeing the highest and best of human nature, in ourselves and in those most in need. Where will this walk-a-thon be held? It's everywhere! This is a nationwide event with no set course. Walkers and cyclists can participate wherever they want, with whomever they want.

This year we intend to raise $35,000 in support of the work of the APO and the hundreds of prisoners around the country whose lives we touch, with inspiration and support on their inner spiritual journey.

APO brings the opportunity for self-rehabilitation and hope to incarcerated individuals. We encourage inmates to take responsibility for their lives through teaching exercises, meditative techniques, books of a spiritual nature, mentorship, and correspondence courses.
