Dear Friends and Family,

Jan-Kees and Polly are planning to participate in a fundraising walkathon for a prison outreach program, promoting the study of meditation, artistic work and inner development. The walkathon will take place wherever we find ourselves next weekend, September  19 - 21. Our goal is to raise $350, to be used for buying and sending study materials to prisoners who request them.

We've been following this program for many years, and have been impressed by the feedback, creativity, and gratitude of the incarcerated men and women who have benefitted from it, which is published in their newsletters. If you're interested in more information about the program, please check out anthroposophyforprisoners.org, or contact us.

Where will this walk-a-thon be held? It's everywhere! This is a nationwide event with no set course. Walkers and cyclists can participate wherever they want, with whomever they want.  

Thanks for helping Anthroposophical Prison Outreach to continue its important work in serving prisoners around the country. 

This year we intend to raise $35,000 in support of the work of the APO and the hundreds of prisoners around the country whose lives we touch, with inspiration and support on their inner spiritual journey.

APO brings the opportunity for self-rehabilitation and hope to incarcerated individuals. We encourage inmates to take responsibility for their lives through teaching exercises, meditative techniques, books of a spiritual nature, mentorship, and correspondence courses.
