Hello Friends! Thanks for visiting this fundraising page! I'll be walking and cycling ten miles next weekend to help raise money for the Anthroposophical Prison Outreach project. I've followed and supported the work of this project for many years and this is the second year I've agreed to help with the walkathon. More than 2 million people are incarcerated in the United States. This program loans books about Anthroposophy and Rudolf Steiner to inmates who are interested and also connects them with mentors through a letter exchange. I've read many of the published letters from prisoners expressing their gratitude and appreciation for what they've learned and how they've felt supported through the program. Where will this walk-a-thon be held? It's everywhere! This is a nationwide event with no set course. Walkers and cyclists can participate wherever they want, with whomever they want.

This year we intend to raise $35,000 in support of the work of the APO and the hundreds of prisoners around the country whose lives we touch, with inspiration and support on their inner spiritual journey.

APO brings the opportunity for self-rehabilitation and hope to incarcerated individuals. We encourage inmates to take responsibility for their lives through teaching exercises, meditative techniques, books of a spiritual nature, mentorship, and correspondence courses.
