I have been working with incarcerated individuals for over 30 years. Over time, I noticed that many of these individuals expressed an interest in life’s “bigger questions” – like what is the purpose of life, what is goodness, how to cope with having caused other people pain and forgiveness. A surprising amount of my time visiting inmates has been spent discussing these issues.
Anthroposophical Prison Outreach offers assistance to these curious incarcerated individuals through sharing the human spiritual development ideas and techniques of Rudolf Steiner, including practices designed to gain control of thoughts, emotions and behavior. APO provides a lending library of Steiner and other spiritual and psychological wisdom texts, as well as a quarterly newsletter with articles and artwork by inmates and Anthroposophists. In addition, APO offers to put together incarcerated individuals with willing Anthroposophists so that they can communicate via letters about the path of spiritual and emotional development.
I hope that my friends and associates will consider donating to this worthy project. I will be walking this month, but please feel free to donate at any time.
Thanks you,
Rick
Where will this walk-a-thon be held? It's everywhere! This is a nationwide event with no set course. Walkers and cyclists can participate wherever they want, with whomever they want.
Thanks for helping Anthroposophical Prison Outreach to continue its important work in serving prisoners around the country.
This year we intend to raise $35,000 in support of the work of the APO and the hundreds of prisoners around the country whose lives we touch, with inspiration and support on their inner spiritual journey.

APO brings the opportunity for self-rehabilitation and hope to incarcerated individuals. We encourage inmates to take responsibility for their lives through teaching exercises, meditative techniques, books of a spiritual nature, mentorship, and correspondence courses.
Thank you for your help!
