Here are some words from Lee, a prisoner living in Colorado City, Texas.

From Lee: As my time in prison unfolds I am searching inwardly for purpose, reason, and direction. This has led me to explore various aspects of my belief systems, my own spirituality, and the deep meaning of life. Generally where I fit into the whole of humanity, and the spirit of the cosmos; know thy self. In here people tend to degenerate, regress and give up on themselves, humanity and the future. I have always been a very positive person so I have been using this time to learn and grow, review myself, and my bad habits. I hope to embrace this path of the spirit in man to the spirit in the universe.

Where will this walk-a-thon be held? It's everywhere! This is a nationwide event with no set course. Walkers and cyclists can participate wherever they want, with whomever they want.

APO brings the opportunity for self-rehabilitation and hope to incarcerated individuals. We encourage inmates to take responsibility for their lives through teaching exercises, meditative techniques, books of a spiritual nature, mentorship, and correspondence courses.
