It has been my privilege and honor to work as a mentor with incarcerated men through APO the last 18 years--I have learned so much from them! I am blessed to be a free man, yet must honestly admit how often I have fallen short of loving kindness in word and deed. Anthroposophy shows a path of self-knowledge and loving practice that frees me from the bondage of selfhood that is a part of our human spiritual heritage. When I reach out and stand by a brother or sister in need and searching, I overcome my own self-centeredness:  this work is a blessing all around!

Where will this walk-a-thon be held? It's everywhere! This is a nationwide event with no set course. Walkers and cyclists can participate wherever they want, with whomever they want.

APO brings the opportunity for self-rehabilitation and hope to incarcerated individuals. We encourage inmates to take responsibility for their lives through teaching exercises, meditative techniques, books of a spiritual nature, mentorship, and correspondence courses.
