This year, I will be walking in support of prisoners who wish to find deeper meaning in their lives through self-development practices, meditative exercises and spiritual literature.

Many incarcerated individuals across the country write APO daily to share their wish to grow, change, and improve their lives. Once prisoners begin to read and study they begin to have questions such as: what’s the purpose of life, what is goodness, how to cope with having caused other people pain and forgiveness. I am inspired daily through these inner reflective questions that prisoner’s contemplate to find deeper meaning and change in their lives.

Guidance through our lending library, mentorship program, correspondence course, Enter Light-Voices from Prison art & poetry events, and our newsletter Illuminating Anthroposophy we begin to see prison participants transform in deep meaningful ways.

Throughout our twenty-two years, we have sent study materials into 800 prisons and we are presently serving 1,200 people in prisons across the country. Please help us continue reaching many more who wish to also join on this path of discovery of self.

Where will this walk-a-thon be held? It's everywhere! This is a nationwide event with no set course. Walkers and cyclists can participate wherever they want, with whomever they want.

APO brings the opportunity for self-rehabilitation and hope to incarcerated individuals. We encourage inmates to take responsibility for their lives through teaching exercises, meditative techniques, books of a spiritual nature, mentorship, and correspondence courses.
