SUNDAY MORNING UPDATE:

As I walk the streets and paths of a mountain town on a glorious early fall day, I am free to go most any place I please.  I breath the crisp air, I see so much of nature's beauty around me.   There are many people in a relaxed, vacationing mode.  It would be easy to forget or ignore the struggles of those people who are not free.  Those imprisoned in a variety of ways.  
By participating in this walkathon, we are looking for ways to see our fellow human beings. People who, finding what they can see and do severely limited, for prolonged periods of time are ready to take the journey of self- transformation. It takes courage, perseverance and inner strength for them. 
Thank you so very much for your support, May it comeback to you a hundred fold.

MONDAY MORNING UPDATE:

I went to sleep last night having walked almost 8 miles, thereby accomplishing my goal!  My deep thanks to each of you and all of you. What a force to propel me on as I took each step.  
May those individuals whose lives will be touched by our actions be blessed with the union of our efforts. May ripples of these efforts go out into the world!!!

Where will this walk-a-thon be held? It's everywhere! This is a nationwide event with no set course. Walkers and cyclists can participate wherever they want, with whomever they want.  

Thanks for helping Anthroposophical Prison Outreach to continue its important work in serving prisoners around the country. 

This year we intend to raise $40,000 in support of the work of the APO and the hundreds of prisoners around the country whose lives we touch, with inspiration and support on their inner spiritual journey.

APO brings the opportunity for self-rehabilitation and hope to incarcerated individuals. We encourage inmates to take responsibility for their lives through teaching exercises, meditative techniques, books of a spiritual nature, mentorship, and correspondence courses.
