I will be hiking in the Rocky Mountains for the Walkathon. It’s a little too daunting and probably unwise at this point to try to climb a 14er, one of the many peaks above 14,000 feet, which I was considering. But my plan is to start at Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park and hike as far as I reasonably can.
Last time, I ran in Central Park in New York City. I now live in Colorado, so here’s an opportunity for a Rocky Mountain high to support the profoundly worthy work of Anthroposophical Prison Outreach.

Where will this walk-a-thon be held? It's everywhere! This is a nationwide event with no set course. Walkers and cyclists can participate wherever they want, with whomever they want.

This year we intend to raise $40,000 in support of the work of the APO and the hundreds of prisoners around the country whose lives we touch, with inspiration and support on their inner spiritual journey.

APO brings the opportunity for self-rehabilitation and hope to incarcerated individuals. We encourage inmates to take responsibility for their lives through teaching exercises, meditative techniques, books of a spiritual nature, mentorship, and correspondence courses.
