I really wanted to make sure I use this opportunity to talk about the real Value of APO. In a way I feel like a representative, so to speak, for those who are Receiver's of the Blessing of Outreach.

My name is Bobby, and for all those that can receive it, I was incarcerated in California from the age of 21-35. Who notices the life cycles any moreβ˜οΈπŸ’« So yes, that was a huge shift for my 21 year old self. I spent some years trying to adapt. See I was from rural areas in central California, on up to years of upbringing in the mountains, my mother was very connected to nature. And so adapting to the concrete and steel, and even to the throngs of souls, adapting wasn't so Natural.

Wouldn't that be a long story?!β˜οΈπŸ˜… Needless to say i became highly introverted. And at about 26 I became inwardly interred in the Mystery of Identity. I wouldn't have called it that then of course, this is all reflective. But let me jump to the good part -- APO! If we went back into APO records we'd see I first wrote in to APO close to 2010-11. And boy did it Take to my Spirit! Year after year, newsletter after newsletter. RS work after RS work -- I Engaged in solitary Deep Anthroposophical Exploration. Wouldn't that be a long story?!πŸ˜‚

I've now been free from that Karma for 3 years πŸ’«πŸŒ…πŸ«‘ And Wouldn't you believe it -- I have worked my way in this 3rd year -- that I am currently in the R&D phase as the founder of a Self-Wellness model that encompasses my experience with Anthroposophy and Self Development! I moved from that west coast rabble (plus Michigan has more Shoreline than California ☝️) and made my way to Ann Arbor.

Honestly, I moved here by sheer Destiny! And an incredible Love for Kathy, who always had a letter and a blessing in the envelopes with the Literature that would effectively Lead me to an Experience of Christ! Can I express that earnestly enough?! APO, and Destiny, have been TRANSFORMATIVE!

And with that, I found this nature reserve near where I live, and I'm going to memorize every Trail for APO βš•οΈ

I'm going to walk the full park 7 times! That will be around 21 miles

All in all, I hope we really take it to heart that it really was through APO that I Found myself, and my Path, and Christ! And because of so many deep Anthroposophical experiences I gained through Steiner, through APO -- Freedom takes on a much Higher Meaning. And my contributions to Society and to the World, so much Fuller.

ABOUT 2024 APO Walkathon

This Year’s Walk-a-thon is September 20 – 22, 2024

We hope you will join in to Walk, Run, or Cycle!

Anthroposophical Prison Outreach inspires inner change in men and women who are in prison. Our lending library, meditation instruction, correspondence course and twice yearly newsletters support students in their self-development. And, as you know, when one person changes, it radiates to those around them. Your donation makes a big difference in the world. Click the button above to join in as a walker gathering support or to make a general donation. You can also sponsor a specific walker, just scroll down to view our walkers/runners/cyclists! Thank you for your support!

Where will this walk-a-thon be held? It's everywhere! This is a nationwide event with no set course or distance. Walkers and cyclists can participate wherever they happen to be throughout the weekend. Each volunteer gathers in sponsors and in this way a broad group of individuals sustains APO.

Our goal this year is to raise $35,000. This will support over 1,200 people across the US - individuals who are serving time in prison and have taken up a path of inner development through the work of the APO. Your support makes a real difference.

I would like to acknowledge the great work you guys are doing for prisoners who reach out for knowledge. I speak for all of us as a whole within the penal system when I say we are grateful. I’m a firm believer that what we achieve in this life will benefit us in the next life so I like to learn as much as I can. Anthony, Bruceton Mills, WV

Anthroposophy has opened a new reality for me. It transformed me. It has made me aware to what is real. It helped me understand spiritual evolution and showed me the value of each soul. Robert, Grafton, OH
